AMD is quietly stealing server market share — anyone following this closely?

Q1 results dropped and AMD posted 80% growth in the data center segment. EPYC Turin is selling like hotcakes and hyperscalers are seriously diversifying away from Intel.

What I'm watching:

  • Server market share went from 18% to 24% in one year
  • MI300X is starting to find its place against the H100
  • Gross margin expanding for the 6th consecutive quarter

I'm holding 350 shares bought at $148, not moving. Valuation is still reasonable compared to NVDA at 35x forward.

Been following this for 2 years. What I like is that Lisa Su never overpromises. She just delivers. Q2 guidance was conservative, as usual.

Agree with you. But the market expects a lot from the MI350 announced for end of year. If it disappoints, watch out for the pullback.

Isn't the MI350 not until 2027? I thought the roadmap slipped.

Does anyone know if EPYC Turin margins are comparable to Intel Xeon? I'm trying to model the FCF for my valuation.

How do you manage the concentration risk on a single sector? If the AI cycle slows down, AMD and NVDA tank together.

That's why I also have positions in the gaming and embedded segments. AMD is way more diversified than people think.
